In His Presence! April 30th - May 1st & 2nd 2004
Another great weekend of meetings with Gary & Kathi Oates. The meetings Friday & Saturday night were held at Freedom Fellowship in Tucson. Worship was powerful, yet very intimate, as we truly spent time in the Lord's presence just telling Him how much we love Him! Once again Gary & Kathi's teaching and ministry were awesome and like last year, many received inner and physical healing.

What a weekend of meetings with Gary & Kathi Oates, and special worship minister Rob Ely! So many people shared that they had never experienced the presence of God like they did in the meetings. One elderly woman called the church office Sunday morning at 7am just to let us know that in all her years in Tucson she had never experienced God's presence like she had in the meeting Saturday evening! During the worship Saturday evening, God's presence became so strong, that many people just began to lie prostrate before the Lord, waiting in His presence. Gary eventually began to minister, and spoke on the Glory of God. Friday night, Gary gave his testimony of being caught up into the Lord's presence and having his eyes opened to see angels. A strong presence of God began to move across the room after he finished sharing, and people began to be touched by the Lord in many different ways. Sunday morning was just as powerful as Gary spoke on intimacy with God, and the Lord began to draw us all closer to Himself. Many received inner healings, physical healings and some re-dedicated their lives to Christ during the meetings. Some began to "see" angels like they had never experienced before. Here are just a few of the testimonies from the meetings:
- "I went to the meeting you had in Tucson last Friday night and really enjoyed the topic. About two months ago I felt the Lord was saying that we (our home group) should ask Him to open our eyes and our ears. I asked...then forgot all about it until Friday. I was thrilled with the re-committing process. Sunday morning in church I was so moved by the presence of the Lord that I went to the back and knelt down...sobbing. Soon, I saw an angel in the doorway blowing a cool breeze over the church and knew his job was to re-awaken a hunger and recognition of the presence of the Lord. Next I saw an angel on either side of the first, and these were blowing trumpets, but I understood their message to be "Prepare the way for a Holy Lord". I'm still so touched by the increased ability to see and hear and I want more."
One couple in the church: God opened husband's eyes to more of the angelic realm. Previously, he had seen his angel twice, but a few nights after the conference he saw him again. In the middle of the night he woke up, sensed a presence and opened his eyes and saw his angel over him. He then saw 5 other angels, smaller in size, going around in the room swinging a flag type thing. When they swung this flag, there was music. He woke his wife. She too, felt the presence and could hear the music but couldn't see anything. They laid in bed with this happening for about 30 minutes, during which time, two more angels came to join the others who had the banner/flags.
A young women who needed a lot of emotional healing and was estranged from God and the church: On Friday night, she sensed such a close presence of the Lord that she started to weep. During this weeping time, she rededicated her life back to the Lord and received emotional healing. She has since continued to walk more with the Lord and regularly attend church meetings.
An elderly woman, who loves the Lord, saw a vision of Jesus on the cross and the agony and love on his face. She sensed his intense love for her and all people and His forgiveness for all people. His love penetrated her heart and convicted her that she had not forgive all, and she did so at that time. She had renewed joy and peace fill her heart.
A young women with 50% hearing loss since childhood received prayer during ministry time. Her hearing was 100% restored!
A man with severe asthma received partial healing. Before prayer he could barely breath, after receiving soaking prayer during ministry time his breathing improved dramatically. He could then breath deeply without much effort. He was probably healed 75%.
Two young men rededicated their lives to the Lord! We believe that were others, these were the ones we knew of.
A young woman received inner healing from the abandonment and rejection suffered while growing up.
Many people received a fresh touch from the Holy Spirit and came away hungry for more of God. Thank you Jesus for your fresh touch and for the lives that were forever changed in the meetings!

Gary Oates is the former Senior Pastor of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Tallahassee, Florida. Over the past 30 years he and his wife, Kathi, have planted five churches.
On a trip to Brazil with Randy Clark in June 2002, Gary had a dramatic encounter with God that changed his life and ministry. He was caught up into the presence of the Lord and his eyes were opened to see the ministry of angels. He continues to see angels and their activities on a regular basis and has had additional heavenly experiences. During his first "catching up", while holding hands with Jesus, the palm of his left hand began to burn as he received impartation for an increased healing anointing. Since that time, he has seen a significant increase in healings and creative miracles such as the deaf hearing, the blind seeing, the lame walking, tumors disappearing, etc. A focus of Gary's ministry is to train and equip pastors and leaders to do the works of Jesus, and to hold mass power evangelism meetings with accompanying signs and wonders. Another focus is on how to develop a deeper intimacy with Jesus Christ, how to experience the manifest presence of God, prayer for impartation to see in the spiritual realm, as well as healing for the whole person. Kathi had similar experiences in having her eyes opened to see the ministry of angels. She has co-labored with Gary being involved in all aspects of church life and ministry. She is especially gifted with a powerful prophetic ministry, intercession and inner healing. They work well together as a team since their giftings compliment each other. He resigned as pastor in April 2003 to devote fulltime to itinerate ministry both nationally and internationally.
Bob Sawvelle, Pastor of Tucson Area Christian Fellowship, traveled with Gary & Kathi and a team from Global Awakening to Brazil in June, and said the meetings were some of the most powerful he has ever seen anywhere in the world. Hundreds of healings and salvations occurred during the week of meetings. God's presence invaded the auditoriums each time Gary & Kathi ministered.
